Our specialist status has enabled us to develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning across the school and reach out to the local community.St. James' is the local Catholic school designated for physically disabled students and is an all embracing inclusive community.

Students achieve well and standards are high...at the end of Key stage 3 standards are significantly higher than those nationally...at Key Stage 4 the percentage achieving five *A-C grades at GCSE is significantly above the national average."
Parents play a vital role in developing the school and the education of their children. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) works hard raising funds to support the work of the school. In recent years the PTA have raised over £60,000 to fund the bid for specialist status and last year purchased a new minibus.
